Course materials preparedWhat happens after you press Enter? How does a browser turn a response into pixels? These are the starting points for two original course projects: Inside a running Linux system and Inside a Chromium page.
The Linux course follows a command through the shell, processes, virtual memory, files, permissions, and services. The Chromium course follows a navigation through networking, parsing, layout, JavaScript, paint, and compositing. Both use original explanatory diagrams and a complete narration script.
Each prepared course package includes chapters, transcripts, technical references, and practical investigations. The aim is to build a model you can test on your own machine, then connect the explanation to evidence you can inspect.
What belongs here
Inside a running Linux system
Trace cat notes.txt from a terminal command to the kernel boundary, file access, and a running process.
Inside a Chromium page
Connect HTML bytes, the live DOM, styles, layout, raster work, and the frame you finally see.
Inspect it yourself
Companion exercises turn diagrams into observations using a Linux terminal and browser DevTools.
